Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using this website (https://star-usedcars.com/) operated by Star Used Cars ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to every visitor, browser, and customer.

Inventory listings & pricing

• All listings reflect the equipment / vehicle as observed at the time of inspection. Specifications, hours, mileage, and condition are believed accurate but are not guaranteed.
• Prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise specified and are subject to change without notice. Final price, applicable taxes, and registration fees are confirmed in writing at the point of sale.
• A unit is considered available until a deposit is received. Online listings are not a binding offer to sell — we may withdraw or amend a listing at any time before sale.
• Photos are representative. Minor variations in color, equipment, or accessories may exist between the photos and the actual unit.

Reservations & deposits

• A deposit reserves the unit for the period specified at checkout. Deposits are applied toward the final purchase price.
• If the buyer cancels the reservation outside any agreed refund window, the deposit may be forfeited as agreed in writing at the time of reservation.
• If we are unable to deliver the unit (e.g., undisclosed mechanical issue surfaces during pre-delivery inspection), the deposit is fully refunded.
• High-value reservations may require buyer identity verification (government-issued photo ID). Verification documents are handled per our Privacy Policy.

"As-is" sale & limited warranties

Unless an express written warranty is provided with the bill of sale, used equipment and used vehicles are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with all faults. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Any factory or third-party warranty (powertrain, manufacturer, extended) is governed solely by the warranty provider, not by us.

Buyers are strongly encouraged to inspect the unit in person and/or commission an independent pre-purchase inspection before completing the sale.

Shipping & delivery

• Shipping quotes are estimates. Actual freight cost is finalized once pickup and delivery addresses, route, and carrier availability are confirmed.
• Risk of loss transfers to the buyer when the unit is loaded onto the carrier. Buyers are responsible for arranging adequate transit insurance unless otherwise agreed.
• Delivery dates are best-effort estimates and may be affected by weather, customs, mechanical issues, or carrier delays.

Trade-ins & consignments

• Trade-in offers are based on the seller's description and provided photos. The final offer is contingent on physical inspection and verification of title.
• Consignments require a signed consignment agreement specifying commission, listing duration, reserve price (if any), and payout timing.
• Sellers warrant they hold clear title and the lawful right to sell the unit, and that no undisclosed liens, encumbrances, or active recalls exist.

Financing & pre-approvals

Pre-approval forms collect basic information used to introduce buyers to lending partners. We are not a lender. Final credit decisions, rates, and terms are made solely by the lender and are subject to underwriting, verification, and applicable law. Submitting a pre-approval does not guarantee financing.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) attempt to access non-public areas of the site, (b) probe or scan for vulnerabilities, (c) submit automated requests beyond reasonable use, (d) post unlawful, infringing, or misleading content, (e) misrepresent your identity or harvest personal data of other users.

Intellectual property

All content on this site (text, graphics, photos, logos, layout) is owned by Star Used Cars or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or reuse content without prior written consent, except for reasonable personal, non-commercial browsing.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Star Used Cars is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of this site or any unit purchased through it. Aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid (if any) for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Star Used Cars, its officers, employees, and partners from any claims arising out of (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) misuse of the site, or (c) violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the dealership is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless the parties agree in writing to arbitration. Nothing here limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
